I do miss high school football when my boys played. The yelling, popcorn and of course hot dogs. Both of my boys went into the military and when they got out the oldest went to college and the youngest went to work for a John Deere company. He now recruits kids for trade school because there is a need for technicians (we used to call them mechanics) working in the farming industry.
I’m not sure if Cherrywood works like applewood. If you slow cook anything in applewood, it’s incredible. I had a friend who used to make fresh salmon and also lamb and one of those big green eggs using applewood and it was to die for. They served it at my stepson‘s wedding and the Lamb disappeared quickly. You may want to consider using that cherry wood to smoke something if you’re into that kind of barbecuing.
Shōgun is such a great series! If you enjoy it maybe check out Yojimbo over the weekend. Seven Samurai and Rashomon always get top billing from Kurosawa but Yojimbo is just as good.

Yes applewood is awesome! This is wild cherry. Love the green eggs. I still use a weber but have looked at those green eggs.
