The Cornish Game Hens used to be considered the posh way to go! Yes they are tasty. Did you ever have quail? There used to be hundreds of them when I was a kid. All you needed was a shotgun and a dog. So good~! Now most of the Bobwhites are gone. No fence rows any more. They farm it from highway to highway around there.
How sad that highways and roads create so many barriers for wildlife. I used to go pheasant hunting with my Dad and his friends. Just kind of tagged along for miles and miles. Eating pheasant with all that buckshot was like eating watermelon with all the seeds. Yuck! I can only imagine how little was left of a quail after spitting out the shot.
The food was delicious and a fun time was had by all - kudos to the chefs! Lucky you get to do it all again tomorrow!!!
Those chickens look scrumptious. I seem to recall one year, we experimented with Cornish hens. Little tiny things. Good though.

Sounds like a great Thanksgiving
