Thanks for the shout out, David (only one ‘l’ btw). The Corrigan review was so interesting. I love her book reviews. Do you think you’ll read it?

Thanks Jeanine, correction made~! The link still worked in spite of the typ0. I’ve ordered the book, I really appreciate the heads up! I’m especially interested to learn about their relationship and how it may illuminate RLS and his work. Will keep you posted~!

Thank you, appreciate that. The book sounds so interesting. Her story as Corrigan said could be a story! Since RLS was also a presence on in the islands, I’d heard things about him. But most authors went to Oahu, rarely Maui. Twain did quite a stint I think on Oahu too. Enjoy!

You have me intrigued about reading "The Black Arrow" providing I can locate it.

Thank you for the book suggestions. Fanny's story really intrigues me and Treasure Island will be a hit (probably) for my grandson. I'll probably read it first, though, just for the joy of it. I've got the Garden of Children's Verse, but have never read his novels. It's time I did.

P.S. Didn't he also write Ivanhoe? I think I started that one once.

Two I would recommend by RLS is ; Travels with a Donkey.
